Westwind School Division is implementing new Personal Mobile Device (PMD) and social media administrative procedures starting September 1, 2024. As per Ministerial Order #014/2024: Standards for the Use of Personal Mobile Devices and Social Media in Schools, these measures aim to create a focused, distraction-free learning environment by restricting personal mobile devices and access to social media during school instructional hours. Exceptions will be made for medical needs. Parents and students are encouraged to review details and resources on the dedicated website at EduFocus.westwind.ab.ca to ensure a smooth transition into the new school year.
